Now's your chance to get your hands on some Betsey Johnson tops or dresses before the stores close for good in South Florida.

Going-out-of-business sales at all Betsey Johnson retail stores nationwide began on Friday and will continue until all merchandise has been sold, according to a news release.

Betsey Johnson, known for her use of bold color and designs in women?s fashion, filed for bankruptcy protection last month.

Shoppers can find savings of 20-50 percent off all Betsey Johnson apparel, jewelry, handbags and shoes. All store fixtures, like apparel racks, shelving and lighting are also for sale.

All Betsey Johnson gift cards will be honored until June 1. Sales made on or after Friday, May 11, are final.

The American designer?s first store opened 30 years ago in New York City, a press release said. The boutique line has 54 stores and nine outlet locations internationally.

Betsey Johnson stores are in the Town Center at Boca Raton, Aventura Mall, Sawgrass Mills, Dadeland Mall, the Gardens Mall and the Village of Merrick Park.
